Meet the Founder
John J. Daly, MBA, CPA
Founder & Principal Consultant

John Daly is a transformational senior IT and finance leader with 25+ years of experience in executive IT and CIO roles, holding an active CPA license alongside deep senior leadership experience in enterprise accounting, treasury, risk management, and FP&A.
From 2007 to 2024, John served in CIO and senior leadership roles across three organizations shaped by a chain of acquisitions — Compliance Implementation Services, Deloitte, and Model N — each focused on life sciences revenue management, compliance, and managed services. As CIO of Compliance Implementation Services, he helped grow the company from a life sciences consulting startup into a 50+ client, 200+ staff managed services provider, positioning it for acquisition by Deloitte in 2015. At Deloitte, he partnered with business unit leadership to drive digital transformation, information governance, and compliance risk resolution. Following Model N's 2021 acquisition of the practice, he led data integration and government pricing modelling groups while modernizing operations with cloud-enabled data science tooling.
Earlier in his career, John held roles in enterprise risk analytics, financial planning & analysis, and accounting leadership at Progress Energy and Entergy Corporation, building the quantitative and controls foundation — from Value-at-Risk modeling to multi-billion dollar capital planning to revenue accounting data warehousing — that now informs his advisory work.
In 2024, John founded Windward Vantage Consulting to bring this blend of CIO-level technology leadership, CPA-grade financial rigor, and hands-on automation expertise directly to organizations navigating digital transformation, robotic process automation (RPA), and financial process modernization.
